If you’re like I am, then you love to read books on leadership…and you love parables (a/k/a business fables).
With that in mind I just read a terrific one written by corporate leader and first-time author, Denis McLaughlin.
Entitled, The Leadership GPS, it’s a powerful how-to lesson on leadership combined with a delightful and captivating story of mentorship. In this case, we learn that a mentor can express themselves via an unlikely source.
Join Denis and me in this discussion and learn about the three phases and ten steps that our story’s hero takes on his journey to highly-effective, life-enhancing leadership. And, how you can do the same.
There were many excellent points in this book but one of them that really came through for me (and Denis and I discussed) was being humble enough to know that, while you’re learning, you might not know as much as you think you do. Therefore, rather than just pushing ahead, check yourself and be sure not to skip steps in order to shortcut the process.
What were your biggest takeaways from listening to Denis? Please feel free to share your thoughts with us.

Bob,
Thanks so much for introducing Denis and allowing him to share his story with us. I look forward to reading his book. If you were any influence, which you obviously were/are, then it’s sure to be a great read.
Please continue to bring us folks that you find that share your vision and walk their talk. It’s much appreciated and a breath of fresh air.
