Being a Go-Getter (a person of action) *and* a Go-Giver (a person laser-focused on adding immense value to the lives of others) is a powerful, productive, and profitable combination.
On the other hand, a Go-TAKER (a person focused *only* on benefiting themselves) finds it difficult to attain the level of success they desire, and any success they do attain is rarely sustainable.
Key Point: So, indeed, be a Go-Getter *and* a Go-Giver…just don’t be a Go-Taker. 🙂
Yes, there are Go-Takers who are able to sustain their financial success over long periods of time. However…
The Burden of Go-Takers: It’s so much more difficult to succeed this way, and takes a lot more work to do so.
After all, the Go-Taker does not have loyal people on their side (how could they — they care only about themselves) and must re-create their efforts at every new point in the process.
Sure, it can be done — but what an exhausting and unfulfilling way to conduct business…and to live one’s life.
Not to mention, typically their personal relationships are downright yucky!
Exercise: Think of the people you know whose actions seem to focus on bringing tremendous value to others (i.e., making others’ lives better). No, not in a self-sacrificial, *martyrish* type of way, but in a way that benefits all concerned.
Observe and try to determine their level of success both outwardly as well as how they seem to feel about themselves and the way others feel about them.
