Saw the following on Twitter:
“Past failure often furnishes the finest material from which to build future success.” ~ Harvey Mackay
This quote, from one of the top entrepreneurs and leaders in modern times makes a terrific point. We can see our failures as failures and leave them at that, becoming discouraged and giving up.
Or, we can dissect them, learn from them, and — rather than starting from scratch — actually utilize the experiences as a step up; building upon them to create even greater success in the future.
Like most things, I suspect it is simply a personal choice regarding which path we take.

Yes Love Love Love this… So true… I personally choose to Learn, Play and Grow from every experience…
Great quote from Harvey. And oh so true.
I had a past business failure where I just wasn’t prepared for the work that was to come. While the business was a failure, I learned to build connections and was able to move from the failure to a position at a company doing similar work.
I can so see this, with some things. I am feeling pushed to see it more, however. Especially with my life, and relationships, and not allowing failure to be the end. So, with the invention of the light bulb, I understand, with the loss of friendships and a relationship with my brother, not so much. But maybe I’m just not quite looking right, yet.
Carly: Thank you. That is definitely you, my friend!
Joseph: Thank you. Kudos to you for taking an unpleasant experience and using it as a lesson that equipped you to be more effective!
Stacey: Thank you for writing. I’m sorry you are going through a a very distressing experience such as that. Indeed, much easier to relate the lesson to something physical such as an invention than to something that really hurts on an emotional level. I’m rooting and praying that all turns out exactly as it iss supposed to and that you are at peace.
