If there is anyone who could have allowed herself to accept the word, “can’t” in her life, Dixie Gillaspie is it.
Instead, she decided to “blast through” her problems and — eventually — to help others do the same.
Her brand new book, Just Blow it Up – Firepower for Living an Unlimited Life has just been released and it has an extraordinary combination of why to and how-to that will help you to both identify and then … well, blast through your challenges.
In this chat with the author, we learn about some of those brick walls, overcoming the fear of blasting through, what it really means when someone says they “just don’t know what they really want to do” and more…including some highlights from her conversations with Richard Bach of Jonathan Livingston Seagull and Illusions fame.
Enjoy the chat:

If you’re a fan of Richard Bach (and I certainly am) can you imagine actually learning wisdom from him while being the other person in his two-seater plane? While I loved the entire discussion with Dixie, I think that was my favorite part! 🙂
Be sure and visit Dixie’s page and take advantage of the great bonuses she’s put together!

Thank you for sharing this great interview, Bob!
I really appreciate it, and learned from it. I also now have a better appreciation for piloting a plane! I love (and have adopted the phrase) “Altitude is attitude.” and your attitude is reflected by the way you have your nose pointed!
Jodi: Awesome! I’m so glad you enjoyed Dixie’s wisdom. And that was cool about the plane, wasn’t it? 🙂 Thank you for sharing with us!
This was a great interview and guest. Dixie congrats on not letting your fears control or contain you. You and Bob are totally correct and are doing great things to help the many and the few who are hungry for and need this type of information. There is greatest within us. It is sad that some many take that greatest to the grave with them.
Zurrinae: Thank you for your kind comment about the interview. Yes, Dixie shares with us some very valuable lessons…and her book is terrific!
I enjoyed the interview with Bob and Dixie and have already ordered the Book. Just Blow it Up is just what I need at this time in my life and career. I can’t wait to read it on my Kindle and embrace some of the changes that I’ve been telling myself that I can’t make, BECAUSE…. !
Lisa: Thank you for your kind feedback. Please let us know your thoughts on the book. I have a feeling you’re gonna’ really enjoy it! 🙂
Wow, two dynamos in one interview – inspirations both! Thanks for inspiring and helping us to blast through the brick walls we build….
Tara: You are always so kind, my friend. Thank you!
I just ordered the book & have it downloading to my iPad. Looking forward to reading Dixie’s book!
I love my daily dose of dynamite, I’m sure I will love this book!
Helen: That’s terrific. Let us know your thoughts on Dixie’s book (between us though…I think you’re going to love it!) 😉
WOW Bob thank’s for another GREAT article and most AWESOME INTERVIEW! Thank’s Dixie!!!! I’ll definately get your book!!! Your story really touch my heart, as I’ve experiences a childhood where I was told how useless I was and how noone could care less about me or what I could contribute with, because I was worth nothing, and that I should be very thankful if anyone ever would accept me or take me in – and if someone ever did, it would be becsause they felt sorry for me – so you see I got very good at observing and listening and sence, what was going around me. Strangly enough I wasn’t totally discouraged, but often laughing and smiling a lot, finding small things very beautiful and valueable – like a beautiful flower, the warmth of a sunray. The stillnes. But I also very early in life observed how people lost their lifespirit – settling – and that chocked me!!!! And I made a promise to myself, that I would NEVER do that. And another thing that I kept looking for was TRUE CARE – not the fake care. And that is actually my GOAL IN LIFE to put back and help restore just this LOVE and CARE in peoples lives. I think you are ABSOLUTELY AWESOME Dixie. Thank’s for this interview.
Lots of LOVE to you and Bob
Lene
Jonathan Livingston Seagull is an absolute favorite of mine by the way 🙂
As a consultant and a business owner this is one of the most inspiring people I have ever came across. I am so buying the book!! I am an former Military man (US Army 20 years) and you see many things throughout the world and things are constantly winning against the odds because of people like Dixie. One thing that I had to change about my personae when I became a business owner was the fear factor Bob. I was ALWAYS scared to take that next step into becoming successful and most of that stems from the past and those that told me NO. Dixie hit the nail on the head with that one. The positive energy that you put towards your goals supersedes those fears. Very outstanding interview and this old vet can relate to everything she experienced.
Lene: I’m so very sorry you had to go through that! The fact that you are such a kind, warm and caring person speaks absolute volumes about you in a VERY positive way. I have even more respect and regard for you than I had previously…and I already had a lot for you previously! And, yes, Jonathan Livingston Seagull is an amazing book. 🙂
Thank’s Bob!
I remember from one of Randy Gages videos where he mentions if there was any part of his life he would wish had not been there. He’s answer to that is “he would not want to miss any part of it” because he learned from every single thing. And I believe he is right!!!! I have abilities today that I would not have if I had not gone through what I had – and I choose to focus on my gratitude for that in stead of feeling sorry for myself. Do you know this toy it’s kind of a doll round as a ball in the botton with something rather heavy there, and every time you try to lay it down, it automatically comes up again straight away? I’ve always been like that – NO ONE have been able o make me small or take away my happiness! I’ve been very close to loose faith in finding TRUE CARING people. But Randy Gage, Art Jonak and likeminded including you fortunately got in the way of that happening in time – THANK’s for that!!!!!!!!!!!!
Robert: Thank you for your awesome feedback and for sharing a part of yourself with us. Knowing that even tough former Army Vets goes through those things certainly provides encouragement for the rest of us. Enjoy Dixie’s book!
Bob: i am real far away from you in the southern africa (namibia) if i could i would like to shake your hands so that i can feel that i wish you all the best in person.even though mr bob you are my hero and you will be my hero.i thank yuo very much.
Lukas: Thank you for your nice note and very kind words. Regards from the U.S. to you and all the terrific people of Namibia!
I love this – what a great interview. I’m heading off to download the book now!
I do have to say though, that I love the “you can’t because….” statements because to me they are signposts – I say “so if I solve that “because” does that mean I can? Thank you so much for the clue!”
I’m a big fan of Richard Bach too!
Susan: Thank you for your kind feedback. So glad you enjoyed the interview and that you’re going to read Dixie’s terrific book.
Incredibly inspiring, thank you Bob.
LOTS of great points, and yes, as Zig Ziglar said “Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.”
Also, as we’ve known for years, physiology is important and is a great supporter (or hindrance) of our states, and now, more recently, also proven from a neurological point of view, so, look up to fly higher 😉
Fredrique: Thank you. So glad you enjoyed it! And, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!
Well, I think that clears up two difficulties for me personally. How about anyone else?
Thank you. So glad you enjoyed Dixie’s wisdom!
Great interview Bob! So dynamic to have two people of your beliefs, understanding, and authenticity sharing how to overcome the limiting paradigms so many face.
Joy to you both in every precious moment my friend!
Dan
Dan: Thank you. What a kind and thoughtful comment. Thank you for sharing your always-encouraging feedback!

Bob, you and Dixie have been BIG in my life.
Joel: Thank you for your kind and thoughtful comment. Indeed, she is and it (her book) is! 🙂
