About two weeks ago, Kathy Zader, who is moving from Carson City, Nevada to Tampa, FL to be closer to her family, noticed the familiar sound of a cat eating out of the catfood bowl. Nothing unusual about that, except that the cat eating was not her cat, Adobe.
Instead, it was a stray cat who had snuck into the house. A cat that looked extremely malnourished as well as blind in one eye.
Kathy — being Kathy — could not just let it starve so, over the next two weeks, while trying to locate the cat’s human family, she fed it and let it sleep in the laundry room (Adobe would not have stood for another cat being in the rest of the house). She also nourished it back to health. This was obviously a house cat and not used to the outside elements.
Still, in terms of finding the family or locating another who’d take her before Kathy moved to Florida…no success.
Until…yesterday, that is!
While house-hunting in Tampa, Kathy received a call from her friend with the following news: The third couple looking at renting the house (the one Kathy was leaving in Carson City) looked at the cat and cried, “that’s ours; that’s our cat. Our girls have been worried sick!” The cat immediately ran to them and would not let them leave her sight.
Nothing more (except, of course, that Kathy Rocks!) other than, sometimes things just work out really cool!

NO WAY!!! That is the greatest story EVER!!! Although the chances of that are, I don’t know…a GAZILLION to one!… it makes perfect sense. Knowing (and loving!) Kathy as I do, I know she is a master at attracting good things into her life. She was loving that cat AND holding an image of finding the family. Works every time, and it’s always AMAZING 🙂
Thanks Bob, for the Monday morning WHOOSH you just gave me by sharing this story 🙂
Great story! And I’m guessing the “third couple” now decided that was their “sign” and they’re renting Kathy’s place too, right?!! Hope so 🙂 ~Peg
AWESOME! What a great story shared and a fantastic way to start the day and the week! BIG SMILES!
That IS a great story. Interesting how that couple was “attracted” to the very house where their missing kitty was. Thanks for sharing that Bob.
This is such a wonderful story of love, of faith, and of how the Universe works. Love you, love her, and so happy for the kitty!
The Creator not only has intentions for the humans in the Universe; but, also for the various critters who are endowed with a mission. Some to teach compassion, some to teach laughter, some to teach love, some to teach the wonders of miracles… apparently, this little lost kitty has been used to teach us all about “miracles” and love!!
My heart is soaring, Bob. As you know, I LOVE a happy animal story ending. Sharing with Peach Pie and Buster Brown.
Perfect Story to kick off my week….
Linda, Ava, Susan, Peg and Patricia, I love and appreciate all your comments. I agree…all the right elements were there, weren’t they?!
Maralene and Leigh, sorry, I didn’t see your comments, as well. Same as my thoughts above! 🙂
Amazing story of how the right thing always happens! Great things happening for great people. Thanks for sharing a story filled with love.
Bob, thank you for sharing the amazing story. And thank you everyone for all your wonderful comments. I’ll keep you posted about whether the family rents the house. I’m so thrilled that Miss Daisy (my name for the cat) was reunited with her family. She really touched my heart. I’m looking forward to finding out her real name when I get home. Wouldn’t it be amazing if her name was Daisy! 🙂
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fact that the kitty was reunited with her original owners! I bet they were doing cartwheels in the yard…and hopefully they rented the house too!
When talking to Patricia Rossi this morning about positive expectancies, she assigned me some homework: read Bob’s blog today! Glad she did 🙂
What an inspiring story of the ‘magic’ that can unfold from the midst of strong stewardship and heartfelt caring. Thanks for sharing, Bob — and for your example, Kathy!
Purrrrrrrrfect ending to such a kind, sweet, story!!
