About two weeks ago, Kathy Zader, who is moving from Carson City, Nevada to Tampa, FL to be closer to her family, noticed the familiar sound of a cat eating out of the catfood bowl. Nothing unusual about that, except that the cat eating was not her cat, Adobe.
Instead, it was a stray cat who had snuck into the house. A cat that looked extremely malnourished as well as blind in one eye.
Kathy — being Kathy — could not just let it starve so, over the next two weeks, while trying to locate the cat’s human family, she fed it and let it sleep in the laundry room (Adobe would not have stood for another cat being in the rest of the house). She also nourished it back to health. This was obviously a house cat and not used to the outside elements.
Still, in terms of finding the family or locating another who’d take her before Kathy moved to Florida…no success.
Until…yesterday, that is!
While house-hunting in Tampa, Kathy received a call from her friend with the following news: The third couple looking at renting the house (the one Kathy was leaving in Carson City) looked at the cat and cried, “that’s ours; that’s our cat. Our girls have been worried sick!” The cat immediately ran to them and would not let them leave her sight.
Nothing more (except, of course, that Kathy Rocks!) other than, sometimes things just work out really cool!
